Of course, Berlin also has its not-so-nice sides. I don't wanna give negative vibes too much room here since that would slow the growth of the flowers in my anus, but I have to mention some places you should avoid from time to time. It's my duty as a citizen.Ok, places to avoid: White Trash - trendy bar/restaurant, shitty service (they're understaffed), pretentious people. Kino in den Hackeschen Höfen - at least cinema 2 is bullshit: no leg room, small screen, bad seats. And still expensive as hell.

A nice and cosy record store, right next to U-Bahn Nollendorfplatz. Lots of vinyl but also CDs and some DVDs. Focus on guitar/indie/alternative/folk/country whatever music, you probably won't find too much hiphop or electronic stuff there (though they've got some reggae/ska records).Bülowstr. 5, www.deadandfree.com
